Mr. RADHEY SHYAM VERMA

CHAIRMAN, SPCA HARYANA

Hardworking, young, honest and perseverant Mr. Radhey Shyam Verma, the Chairman of the Society, considering Honourable Mrs. Maneka Gandhi as his ideal, took a vow in 2000 to stop the cruelty to animals. Putting that vow into practice, Mr. Verma has so far organized hundreds of Medical Camps for Animals from time to time and has provided medical facilities to injured and sick animals. He has also provided first aid to the stray animals injured in road accidents and got shelter for them in various animal care centres or Gaushalas of the State. Keeping in view his feelings and dedication to the welfare of animals, Indian Animal Welfare Board, Govt. of India, appointed him as Honorary Animal Welfare Officer and thus encouraged him to continue his noble work further. After that, taking a more active part in the matters of cruelty to animals, he has collected more than 300 cases of cruelty to animals and have got those cases registered in the various police stations of the state under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.
