of Cruelty to Animals Haryana (S.P.C.A. HARYANA) is an
animal welfare society, which has been got registered
under Societies Act 1860 from the Haryana Government and
which has taken up the noble task of animal welfare.
Apart from getting medical aid for the animals injured
in road accidents, the SCPA Haryana organizes free
medical camps for animals from time to time in the rural
areas. In order to prevent the cruelty being meted out
to the mute and helpless animals, the members of the
SCPA Haryana, with the help of the police intercepts
trucks and other vehicles which transport the animals by
loading them in in a inhuman and apathetic way and gets
cases registered under the different sections of Animals
Act 1960, against the guilty persons. In addition, the

animals like monkeys, snakes, mongooses, etc for
performing purposes. The society organizes frequent
checking campaigns in rural areas against those persons
who use Oxcetocin injections on cattle for increasing
the milk yield in an unnatural way, and reports such
cases to the concerned authorities for appropriate
action. At the same time, the SPCA Haryana organizes
seminars in schools where children are taught to love
animals, treat them humanely and work for their welfare.
Keeping in view the noble aim of animal welfare, the
SPCA Haryana, not only provides fodder to the stray
cows, it encourages people to adopt such cows and also
arranges shelter in the nearest Gaushalas for the
destitute cows as well those injured in road accidents.
SPCA Haryana also works in the direction of getting the
illegally running meat shops and arranges seminars in
the rural areas where the farmers are made aware against
the dangers of poisonous insecticides at the time of
